Career

While at Mithibai College, Kishori was crowned Miss Mithibai at the college known as the Mumbai Cultural Center. She entered the Marathi films and was filmed with Maherchi Sadi and Wajva Re Wajva. Her stage performances in plays such as Moruchi Maushi (Marathi) and Aadhe Adhure (Hindi), directed by Amal Allana, earned her recognition as an actress. She has worked in Marathi blockbusters such as Ek Daav Dhobi Pachad and Navra Majha Navsacha.

Deepak Balraj Vij, a Hindi filmmaker noticed his talent. He did Hafta Band, Bomb Blast and two other movies with her. When Hafta Bandh was founded in 1991, they moved closer and married later. Kishori then moved on to Hindi television series and continued working in Hindi and Marathi films. She became popular with her performance in series like Ghar Ek Mandir, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Sindoor.
