Sharat Saxena is an Indian actor working in Bollywood films. He has also appeared in many Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films. He has played in more than 250 Bollywood films. Saxena began her career in the early 1970s and has mainly played the supporting roles of a father, an uncle or often comical villains.
Sharat Saxena was born on August 17, 1950 in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. He spent most of his childhood in Bhopal.He is married to Shobha Saxena. He attended St. Joseph's Convent School in Bhopal and Christ Church Boys High School Jabalpur. After doing engineering in electronics and telecommunication from Jabalpur Engineering College. he wanted to become an actor. So in 1972, he came to Mumbai. The start was difficult because of its construction, but finally he had the role of a henchman. Benaam,was his first release. Then followed Dil Dewana, agent Vinod, Kaala Patthar and others.

He has appeared in some of the most successful Bollywood films such as Mr. India, Tridev, Ghayal, Khiladi, Ghulam, Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Soldier, Baghban, Fanaa, Krrish, Ek Hi Raasta (1993) and many others . His performances in these films established him as one of the best supporting actors in Bollywood.
He played the role of Kichaka in the television series Mahabharat. He is well known for his role as Daaga in the Hindi movie, Mr. India.
He has also been nominated for Filmfare Best Villain Award for Ghulam (1998).He currently lives on Madh Island, a colony on the outskirts of Mumbai. He lives with his wife Shobha and his two children, Veera and Vishal.
