Political Context

He is the fourth son of actor, director, producer, founder of Telugu Desam Party and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. In 2008, he was a candidate of the Telugu Desam Party for the Rajya Sabha elections.

Film career

Harikrishna made her debut as a children's artist at Sri Krishnavataram [3] as Krishna in 1964 directed by Kamalakara Kameshwara Rao. He then played in Talla Pellamma (1970), which was followed by Tatamma Kala (1974), Ram Raheem (1974), Daana Veera Shura Karna (1977). After a long gap, he returned to the acting career with a guest role in Mohan babu starrer Sri Ramulayya (1998) followed by a complete role next to Nagarjuna in Seetharama Raju (1999). His notable films are Laahiri Laahiriri Laahirilo (2002) and Seetayya (2003) who are directed by YVS Chowdary and these films are the biggest hits of his career.

Private life

Since his first marriage, he has two sons, Janaki Ram and Kalyan Ram and a daughter Suhasini. From another woman to whom he married later, he has a son, Taraka Ram, who was renamed NTR Jr by his grandfather, NTR himself. Both Kalyan Ram and Jr. NTR are well known actors in the Telugu cinema, the latter being among the best champions.
