A graduate in commerce, Sinha moved to Mumbai for better prospects. Sinha quickly became a model . The fame came to her with a music video of Sonu Nigam called "Deewana", which was directed by Anubhav Sinha. This clip brought Sinha to his first film, Tum Bin, directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Super Cassettes Industries Limited.

In the film, Sinha plays Pia, an innocent woman who becomes a victim of the circumstances. In front of her, three famous models: Priyanshu Chatterjee, Himanshu Malik and Raqesh Vashisth.Sandali married Kiran Salaskar, a businessman, in November 2005 and has three children.
