Sandhya Mridul is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood movies and television. She is best known for her roles in films such as Saathiya (2002) and Page 3 (2005).

Sandhya, also called "Sandy", was born in Mumbai of P. R. Mridul and his wife. Later, the family moved to New Delhi. At the age of ten, she left home to go to the Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School in Jaipur. Later, she attended Mater Dei Convent School in New Delhi. At the age of 14, her father, a lawyer and future high court judge, died and was raised by her elder brother, Siddharth Mridul, who sits on the Delhi Supreme Court. She has another older brother named Pankaj.She attended Lady Sriram College in Delhi. She has a degree in mathematics, studied marketing, and then worked for KLM in Mumbai.

Career

Mridul returned to Mumbai to become Director of Marketing. She first began her career with the popular television series Swabhimaan. After that, additional roles followed in series such as Banegi Apni Baat, Koshish and Hu Ba Hu.

She also appeared in Extraa Innings, the program of the 2003 Cricket World Cup.In 2004, she performed in Zen Katha's Pratap Sharma, a play based on the Buddha life in Mumbai, opposite Rajeev Gopalkrishnan.

In 2005, she played in Konkona Sen Sharma and Tara Sharma. She played a flight attendant. His criticism was once again hailed by critics and the film was a box office success.

In 2016, she plays the role of Nazneen Khan in POW Bandhi Yudh Ki, a mother of two who raises them alone while her husband Imaan Khan (played by Satyadeep Misra) has been missing since the Kargil war.
