First day box office collection of The John Abraham & Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House has taken a good opening at the Box Office. The film was expected to open in the range of 17-19 crores. Batla House has collected approx 17.00 crore on day 1.

Batla House is a Action-Crime-Drama-Thriller, Inspired by the Operation Batla House that took place in 2008, the film stars John Abraham in the lead role as a police officer named Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.

Batla House has received mixed response from critics on the day of its release. This is really good as the film was chasing with Mission Mangal and still it has managed to good number at the box office.

Batla House has become the John Abraham's 2nd Highest Grossing Bollywood Films of All Time after Satyameva Jayate. John Abraham could not beat his record of Satyameva Jayate which had released last year on same day 'Independence Day' and collected approx 19.05 crores on its opening day.
