Ishita Dutta is an Indian film and television actress known for her role in the thriller movie Drishyam (2015) and the Hindi soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga, aired on Star Plus. She is the younger sister of actress Tanushree Dutta.

Dutta was raised in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, in a Bengali Hindu family. She attended D.B.M.S. English school in Jamshedpur and studied media in Mumbai. Her sister, Tanushree Dutta, is also an actress / model known for winning the title Femina Miss India (2004).

Career

Dutta began her acting career with the movie Telugu Chanakyudu 2012, opposite Tanish. She and her sister Tanushree Dutta worked together in their next film, Yenidu Manasali, directed by Shrikanth H.R. and produced by Niyaaz Ahmed, but it remained incomplete and unpublished. She then starred in the soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga. In 2016, she played in Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar in front of Vatsal Sheth. She made her Bollywood debut by supporting the 2015 Drishyam action drama alongside actors Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran. She played the role of the daughter of Devgn's character. She worked with Kapil Sharma in Firangi.
