भोजपुरी सिनेमा के सुनहरे दौर में फिल्म अभिनेता शरद कुमार बड़े परदे पर खूब धमाल मचाने वाले हैं। बचपन से ही अभिनय का शौक पाले शरद ने रंगमंच में काफी समय देकर अभिनय की बारीकियां सीखी हैं। मराठी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में काफी वर्क कर चुके शरद अब भोजपुरी सिनेमा के रुपहले परदे पर नया साल जनवरी से धमाल मचाने की पूरी तैयारी कर चुके हैं। कनक फिल्म्स के बैनर तले जाने माने फिल्म निर्देशक अजय श्रीवास्तव के निर्देशन में निर्मित की जा रही दो भोजपुरी फिल्म दामाद जी किराये पर हैं तथा गौना में शरद कुमार अभिनय का जौहर दिखाने वाले हैं। उन्हें उम्मीद है कि भोजपुरी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में भी खूब प्यार मिलेगा। इन दोनों फिल्मों को लेकर के शरद कुमार काफी उत्साहित हैं। वे कहते हैं कि अभिनय मेरा पहला प्यार है, जो मेरे रग रग में बसा हुआ है। मुझे आशा ही नहीं पूर्ण विश्वास है कि अजय श्रीवास्तव के निर्देशन में मेरे अभिनय का जादू दशकों के सिर पर चढ़कर बोलेगा।
