Rambha dropped out of school at the age of 15 and began his career with Hariharan's Malayalam Sargam (1992), opposite Vineeth. The film runs well at the box office, although it was spotted by the director E. V. V. Sathyanarayana who then launched it in the film Telugu Aa Okkati Adakku (1992), where she was twinned with Rajendra Prasad. At the height of his career in the late 1990s, Rambha deliberately continued to choose prestigious roles to obtain film offers. In hit films such as Hitler (1997) with Chiranjeevi, Rambha appears in inconsequential roles for the plot and portrayed purely and simply as the main actor's interest.

She began her career as a producer with the help of her brother in Three Roses (2003), in which Jyothika, Laila and Rambha played the main characters. However, the film failed at the box office and was heavily indebted after the release of the film.

Rambha has acted in several languages and has always managed to maintain a balance between Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Bhojpuri and Bengali. Her latest Malayalam film Paayum Puli in 2007 received good reviews and despite her 30 years, she played one of her most prestigious roles for this film. Most of his films are successful. In 2010, Rambha shot alongside Prakash Raj for a thriller called Vidiyum Varai Kathiru. The film was shot in three languages, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, but the film was not distributed in theaters.
