Arunoday Singh is an Indian film actor. His first film was Sikandar. Singh appeared in Sudhir Mishra's Yeh Saali Zindagi, Pooja Bhatt's Jism 2, and most recently in David Dhawan's Main Tera Hero and Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro. He was also the protagonist of Vivek Agnihotri's film Buddha in a Traffic Jam, dealing with the issue of naxalism. He also played a supporting role in Abhinay Deo's Blackmail.

A graduate of Brandeis University, he was educated at a boarding school in Kodaikanal where he played in plays. According to him, it is after having seen the actor Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, that he decided to become an actor. After graduation, he took a few courses at the New York Film Academy and then enrolled at Studio Acting in New York, during the period when he also played in plays.

Career

After completing his studies, he began giving auditions, and finally made his debut with Sikandar, directed by Piyush Jha, playing a Kashmiri terrorist. His second film was Aisha , the production of Anil Kapoor, an adaptation of the novel, Emma de Jane Austen, with Sonam Kapoor.

Also in the same year, he appears in Vinay Shukla's film about gender and sexuality in Mirch, through a collage of five stories, with Raima Sen and Konkana Sharma, where he plays the central role of a director in difficulty .
