She began her television career with a series called Shakalaka Boom Boom, the story of a boy named Sanju and his magic pencil. Simultaneously, it also adopted a role of children in Indian serial Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chaand, for which she received the Favorite Child Award at Star Parivaar Price. She also appeared as one of Koi Mil Gaya children with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan.
Hansika made her debut in a leading role in the film Puri Jagannadh`s Telugu, Desamuduru with Allu Arjun in front. The film was about a crime reporter who falls in love with a sanyasini, played by Hansika.
Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya`s lover Ria. The film was released June 29, 2007 and was a moderate success. She will also appear in the Hindi film entitled He: The Only One, where she will be essaying the role of a killer, determined to avenge his family.
