Career
Ghosh made his debut as a director in 2003 with the small budget Jhankaar Beats which was a tribute to R. D. Burman, and which became a surprise hit. His next companies, Home Delivery and Aladin, were not successful at the box office. Its 2012 version Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan in the lead role, has gained both a widespread commercial success and a critical acclaim.
He began his acting career by describing the role of Bengali trafficker Byomkesh Bakshi in a film directed by Rituparno Ghosh in December 2012. Few people know he wrote the slogan "Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo Re" for the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.
