He became famous for his potrayal as Gutthi on Comedy Nights with Kapil but gained immense popularity for playing the role of Dr. Mashoor Gulati on the Kapil Sharma show. He has gained a lot of love, respect and gratitude for that. He has done a lot of comedy shows.Sunil Grover was born into a Pubi family of Mandiio Dabuwlli, a small town of SirsDistrict, . His father was a bank manager. He has an elder sister and a younger brother.
He graduated from Mandi Dabwali and graduated from Guru Nanak College. He did a masters degree in theater at Punjab University in Chandigarh. He was interested in acting from his childhood and used to imitate his teachers. |

Sunil was discovered during his college days by the late satirist Jaspal Bhatti. He also starred in India's first silent comedy, Gutur Gu of SAB TV in the initial 26 episodes.He was with comedian Kapil Sharma in the Comedy Nights comedy with Kapil and became hugely popular playing the comic character, Gutthi, Rinku Bhabi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati.
Sunil made his debut in the Punjab film industry, with Vaisakhi List in 2016 and the same year he described the role of Shraddha Kapoor's father in the film Baaghi. |
