Uday Chopra is an actor, producer, screenwriter and assistant director of Bollywood. He is the son of the late Yash Chopra and brother of Aditya Chopra. His sister-in-law is actress Rani Mukerji. His cousin is the director Karan Johar. Uday Chopra worked as an assistant director on a number of films by his father and brother under the Yash Raj Films banner.Chopra is the owner-manager of YRF Entertainment and director of Yash Raj Films with his mother Pamela Chopra and his brother Aditya Chopra, owner of the company.
In July 2012, Chopra founded his own company, Yomics, which creates comics about Yash Raj's famous films such as Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom and Hum Tum. |

Career
In 1994, Chopra produced Yeh Dillagi with Akshay Kumar, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. He made his acting debut in the movie Mohabbatein. Chopra made mostly films under his father's production house.
He starred in 2004 in the action thriller Dhoom and his sequel Dhoom 2, released in 2006.He also starred in Dhoom 3, the second Dhoom sequel next to Aamir Khan in 2013. In the summer of 2011, he went to Los Angeles to join a production workshop at UCLA.
In 2014, Chopra produced two films. Grace of Monaco was the biopic about Grace Kelly with Nicole Kidman in the lead role. He produced the Hollywood movie The Longest Week, a comedy starring Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman. This is the first project of the YRF Entertainment production company of Yash Raj Film. |
