Sushama Reddy studied at the Scottish School of Bombay, Mahim, and graduated in economics from Mithibai College, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She attended a film class at NYFA, New York, United States. She has two younger sisters Meghana Reddy, a former model and Sameera Reddy, a popular Bollywood actress.

Her sister Meghna persuaded her to join the world of television. His first break was given by Bharatbala Productions.She has worked on more than 100 television commercials, including Limca, Fair & Lovely, Liberty, Godrej, Blender's Pride, Ford Icon and a television commercial for Thumbs Up with Salman Khan. Reddy also appeared in Diwakar Pundir's music video, Deewana, with Sonu Nigam, in DJ Suketu's Tere Jaisa Pyaar and in Ishq Nachaya, Sona Mohapatra's music compilation

In 2008, Sushama assisted Rajat Kapoor in his project Rectangular Love story .In 2009, she was introduced to current producing partner Sanjay Bhattacharjee through a mutual friend. After realizing that they had common goals in the film industry, film distribution and marketing, they met Aryan Bros from Delhi, who was also looking to get into the film industry.
