First day box office collection of The John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Attack has taken a dull opening at the Box Office. The collections are a lesser than predicted number of 05.00 crores. Attack has collected approx 03.51 crore on day 1, Friday at the domestic box office.
The film released on 1 April 2022, to mixed reviews, praising its action sequences, fresh concept and performances, with criticism for its plot. A sequel, titled 'Attack - Part 2', is in development.
John Abraham's action packed thriller, Attack, which sees him play the role of a super soldier has a more urban action movie instead of the usual mass targeted action movies plus it has to compete with super-strong holdovers RRR and The Kashmir files.
The movie had nothing going in its favour on day one, as it was flat all throughout the day. Given the slow start, one hoped for Attack to jump towards evening and night shows, but the film refused to show any jump across the board - be it single screens or multiplexes. An action film should have taken a better start, but now the film needs to show miraculous trend on the weekend to have a chance to safeguard itself from emerging a complete disaster.
The opening is more or less similar to last two John films - Mumbai Saga and Satyameva Jayate 2. The movie, with almost over a week promotions, is off to a slow start. On the contrary the collections went up and it was Attack - Part 1 that was impacted, just like Bachchhan Paandey was due to The Kashmir Files wave a couple of weeks back.
